About Flock Frenzy
One summer my grandpa gave my brother and me one job: build a scarecrow for his garden before the sunflower seeds sprouted. He left us a pile of sticks, an old shirt and a straw hat.
We had the best of intentions. Then the shirt became a superhero cape, the sticks became swords, and the straw hat became the prize in a very serious wrestling championship. By evening we had built exactly zero scarecrows.
The next morning grandpa looked at the half-empty seed beds, then at us, and said: “No scarecrow? Then you are the scarecrows.”
So we spent the whole week running between the beds, waving our arms, shouting, and flapping at every sparrow, crow and pigeon that dared to land. We were terrible at it. The birds figured out our patterns, split up and attacked from both sides. We came up with “tactics” and “special moves”, and we laughed so hard we could barely run.
Fifteen years later, that week became Flaptastrophe!. Every bird type in the game behaves the way we swore those birds did. And the Scarecrow Workshop, where you build the scarecrow piece by piece, is my very late homework for grandpa.
